FURNIWEB (08480.HK): Executive Director Kang Boon Lian Appointed as Committee Member and Authorised Representative, Compliance Officer Role Abolished

NewTimeSpace News: On 12 August 2026, FURNIWEB (08480.HK) announced that Mr. Andrew Chan Lim-Fai, an executive director, has ceased to be a member of the nomination, remuneration and risk management committees, the GEM authorised representative and the compliance officer; Mr. Kang Boon Lian, an executive director, has been appointed as a member of the aforementioned committees and the GEM authorised representative. The Company abolished the compliance officer position with effect from the same day following the GEM Listing Rules amendments.

NewTimeSpace News: On 12 August 2026, Furniweb Holdings Limited (stock code: 08480) announced that Mr. Andrew Chan Lim-Fai, an executive director of the Company, has ceased to be a member of the Company's nomination committee, remuneration committee and risk management committee, an authorised representative of the Company under Rule 5.24 of the GEM Listing Rules, and the Company's compliance officer; Mr. Kang Boon Lian, an executive director, has been appointed as a member of the Company's nomination committee, remuneration committee and risk management committee, and an authorised representative of the Company under Rule 5.24 of the GEM Listing Rules. The above changes took effect on 12 August 2026.

According to the announcement, Mr. Andrew has ceased to be the Company's compliance officer under Rule 5.19 of the GEM Listing Rules. Following the amendments to the GEM Listing Rules which became effective on 1 January 2024, the Company is no longer required to appoint a compliance officer, and the Board has therefore resolved to abolish the position of compliance officer with effect from 12 August 2026.
