Esprit Holdings (00330.HK): Expected H1 Loss of Approximately HK$39 Million

NewTimeSpace News: Esprit Holdings announced on 10 August that it expects to record an unaudited net loss attributable to shareholders of approximately HK$39 million for the six‑month period ending 30 June 2026, versus a net profit of about HK$1 million in the same period last year.

NewTimeSpace News: On 10 August 2026, Esprit Holdings (00330.HK) issued a profit warning. Based on preliminary review of the unaudited consolidated management accounts, the Group expects to record a net loss attributable to shareholders of approximately HK$39 million for the interim period, while a net profit of around HK$1 million was recorded in the corresponding period of last year.

According to the announcement, revenue from continuing operations increased from approximately HK$7 million to around HK$15 million, driven by the gradual scale‑up and commercialisation of the licensing business. However, loss from continuing operations widened to about HK$39 million, mainly due to a one‑off additional provision of approximately HK$25 million for legal and professional fees incurred in arbitration proceedings.
