NewTimeSpace News: Top Education Group Ltd (stock code: 01752) issued an inside information announcement stating that on 5 August 2026, the Group became aware of a news report indicating that a threat actor had claimed on an underground forum to possess certain records allegedly relating to students enrolled in courses offered by the Group, with an intention to provide access to or sell such records.

The announcement disclosed that upon becoming aware of the suspected incident, the Group immediately launched an investigation to assess whether any unauthorised access or leakage of personal data had occurred as claimed; if so, to assess the nature and scope of the unauthorised access or data leakage, the categories of data potentially affected, the root cause of the suspected incident, and the security status of the Group's systems and servers. The Group will take appropriate further actions in accordance with the progress of the investigation.

In respect of response measures, the Group has notified the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency and the Australian Cyber Security Centre of the suspected incident. After seeking further legal advice, the Group will take appropriate actions and, where necessary, notify other relevant authorities to ensure the fulfilment of all obligations, and will proactively cooperate with and assist in any enquiries or investigations. The Group is committed to protecting students' data and their privacy through regular reviews and strengthening of its information security and cyber security measures.

The Group will continue to assess any potential impact of the suspected incident on its operations and financial position. Based on the information currently available to the Group, as at the date of this announcement, the suspected incident has not caused any material disruption to the Group's operations.
