NewTimeSpace News: Dajin Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. (01081.HK) released an overseas regulatory announcement on 4 August 2026. Its subsidiary Tangshan Dajin Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. has signed a shipbuilding contract for two bulk carriers with a Norwegian ship‑owner. The vessels are 211,000 DWT bulk carriers, each with an overall length of around 299.95 metres, moulded breadth of approximately 50 metres and moulded depth of roughly 25 metres. The total contract value is equivalent to about RMB1.0 billion and deliveries will take place in batches during 2029.
The Norwegian ship‑owner focuses on self‑owned fleet operation, new‑building investment, second‑hand vessel trading, long‑term charter arrangements and offshore‑project deployment. The Group has conducted similar transactions with this counterparty over the past three years. The contract qualifies as an ordinary operating‑activity contract and does not require review and approval by the Board of Directors or shareholders’ general meeting.
