Huadian Power International(01071.HK): Power Generation Volume Hits Around 108 Million MWh in H1 2026, Down 10.65% Year-on-Year

NewTimeSpace News: On July 24, 2026, Huadian Power International(01071.HK) issued an announcement. As of June 30, 2026, on a consolidated basis, the Group recorded a total power generation volume of around 108 million MWh in the first half of the year, representing a 10.65% year-on-year decline, while the total on-grid electricity volume reached approximately 101 million MWh, down 10.82% from the same period last year. The average on-grid electricity price for the first half was about RMB 517.70 per MWh, up roughly 0.18% year-on-year.

According to the announcement, the declines in power generation and on-grid electricity volumes were mainly attributable to abundant water inflow in regions rich in hydropower resources, new installed capacity of renewable energy and coal-fired power plants squeezing the generation space of existing units, as well as lower peak load demand caused by relatively low summer temperatures in some regions.
