AGTECH HOLDINGS (08279.HK): Establishes Joint Venture with Hong Kong Gold Exchange to Develop Core Electronic Trading Platform
NewTimeSpace News: AgTech Holdings Limited (08279.HK) announced that its subsidiary TGX Technology Limited (TGX) has set up a joint venture, HKGX-AGT Corporation Limited, with Hong Kong Gold Exchange Limited. The JV will design, develop, operate and maintain a secure and stable core platform for electronic trading, clearing and settlement. TGX is currently engaged in the initial development phase of the core platform. Upon completion, the existing gold bar trading and related businesses of Hong Kong Gold Exchange are expected to migrate to this platform.
NewTimeSpace News: On 23 July 2026, AgTech Holdings Limited (08279.HK) issued a voluntary announcement. To implement cooperation under the technical services agreement, TGX and Hong Kong Gold Exchange Group have established a joint venture named HKGX-AGT Corporation Limited, a limited company incorporated in Hong Kong.
The objective of the joint venture is to design, develop, operate and maintain a secure and stable core platform jointly owned by TGX and Hong Kong Gold Exchange Group for the Group, its users and other clients. The platform features innovative and supportive capabilities in terms of capacity, technical advancement and flexibility, underpinned by robust system infrastructure.
As at the date of this announcement, TGX is proceeding with the initial development phase of the core platform. Once completed, all existing gold bar trading, clearing, settlement and related electronic businesses of Hong Kong Gold Exchange are expected to be migrated onto the core platform.
