WEIHAI BANK (09677.HK): Non-executive Director Li Jie Retires Due to Age; Wang Wenjing Elected as Successor

NewTimeSpace News: Weihai Bank(09677.HK) announced that Ms. Li Jie, Non-executive Director, will cease to act as Non-executive Director and member of relevant board committees on account of age. At the 2nd Session of the 6th Staff Congress held on 23 July 2026, Ms. Wang Wenjing was elected as employee representative Non-executive Director of the 9th Board of Directors to fill the vacancy arising from Ms. Li’s retirement.

NewTimeSpace News: On 23 July 2026, Weihai Bank Co., Ltd. (09677.HK) issued an announcement. Due to age, Ms. Li Jie has stepped down as Non-executive Director and member of relevant special committees of the Board. Her resignation shall take effect upon the qualification approval of the successor employee representative Non-executive Director by Shandong Regulatory Bureau of the National Financial Regulatory Administration. Ms. Li confirmed there is no disagreement with the Board.

The Bank convened the 2nd Session of the 6th Staff Congress on 23 July 2026 and elected Ms. Wang Wenjing as employee representative Non-executive Director of the 9th Board of Directors. In accordance with the Bank’s Articles of Association, employee representative directors on the Board are elected by staff via democratic procedures such as the Staff Congress and directly join the Board. Ms. Wang’s term commences on the date when her director qualification is approved by Shandong Regulatory Bureau of the National Financial Regulatory Administration and expires at the end of the term of office of the 9th Board of Directors.

Ms. Wang Wenjing, aged 40, has served as Director of Training, Dean of Training Academy and General Manager of the Party Mass Work Department of the Bank since May 2026. She obtained a Master of Business Administration from Shandong University in 2023. Ms. Wang will not receive additional director’s remuneration by virtue of holding the office of Non-executive Director.
