EVERG VEHICLE (00708.HK): Independent Non-executive Director Xie Wu Resigns; Company Fails to Comply with Multiple Listing Rules
NewTimeSpace News: EVERG VEHICLE (00708.HK) announced that Mr. Xie Wu has resigned as Independent Non-executive Director and Chairman of the Audit, Nomination, Remuneration and Corporate Governance Committees with effect from 20 July 2026, to devote more time to his professional medical engagements. Following his resignation, the Company fails to satisfy several requirements under the Listing Rules.
NewTimeSpace News: On 20 July 2026, China Evergrande New Energy Vehicle Group Limited (00708.HK) issued an announcement. Mr. Xie Wu tendered his resignation as Independent Non-executive Director, as well as Chairman of the Audit Committee, Nomination Committee, Remuneration Committee and Corporate Governance Committee, effective 20 July 2026. The resignation arises from his intention to allocate more time to his professional affairs in the medical sector. Mr. Xie confirmed there are no disagreements with the Board of Directors.
Upon Mr. Xie’s departure, the Company is unable to comply with multiple provisions of the Listing Rules. The Group stated it is sourcing suitable candidates to fill the vacancies as soon as practicable. The Company’s shares have been suspended from trading since 1 April 2025 and will remain suspended until further notice.
