Sino Biopharmaceutical (01177.HK): TRD205 (AT2R Antagonist) Included in CDE’s Breakthrough Therapy Designation List
NewTimeSpace News: On 14 July 2026, Sino Biopharmaceutical (01177.HK) released an announcement. TRD205, a proprietary Class 1 new AT2R antagonist developed by the Group’s subsidiary Beijing Tide Pharmaceutical, has finished its Phase II clinical study for chronic postoperative neuropathic pain (CPSNP). Encouraging clinical outcomes qualified the candidate for inclusion in the CDE breakthrough therapy list.
As disclosed in the announcement, TRD205 is a highly selective AT2R antagonist generated on Sino Biopharmaceutical’s second-generation AI drug discovery platform. Novel molecules are directly created by AI without relying on known ligand structures. Its core innovation lies in its high selectivity for peripheral AT2R receptors. It delivers multimodal analgesia by restraining macrophage migration and downregulating the expression of pain-related ion channels, while sidestepping central nervous system side effects commonly seen in traditional painkillers such as drowsiness and dizziness.
