51WORLD (06651.HK): Forms Space-Air Strategic Partnership with Huantian Wisdom to Customise ECS-1, World’s First Remote Sensing Satellite for Physical AI Training

NewTimeSpace News: 51WORLD (06651.HK) announced on 12 July that it has entered into a strategic cooperation in space-air domain with Huantian Wisdom. The two parties will jointly customise ECS-1 “Earth Clone Star”, the world’s first commercial remote sensing satellite dedicated to Physical AI training and simulation applications. Equipped with a 0.5m GSD optical payload, ECS-1 enables high-precision DSM & DEM generation in a single pass and cuts data acquisition costs by roughly 90%. The satellite has entered scheme review and tendering phase, targeting launch and constellation deployment by end-2027. A SAR satellite ECS-2 is also planned to support all-time, all-weather collaborative observation.
NewTimeSpace News: On 12 July 2026, 51WORLD (06651.HK) issued a voluntary announcement. The Company has formally entered into a strategic cooperation covering space-air business with Huantian Wisdom Technology Co., Ltd. Both sides will jointly customise ECS-1 “Earth Clone Star”, the world’s first commercial remote sensing satellite specially designed for Physical AI training and simulation use cases. This marks the first in-depth co-development between China’s Physical AI industry and commercial aerospace at satellite payload level.
ECS-1 carries an optical imaging payload with 0.5-metre Ground Sampling Distance (GSD) and an imaging swath width of no less than 60km. Adopting dual-linear array stereo pushbroom imaging architecture, the satellite can generate high-precision Digital Surface Model (DSM) and Digital Elevation Model (DEM) within one single overpass, substantially lifting regional 3D reconstruction efficiency. Combined with the Group’s proprietary 51WORLD WORLD MODEL and 4DGS AI processing pipeline, the end-to-end data processing cycle can be shortened to hours, with data acquisition costs reduced by approximately 90% compared with traditional aerial oblique photogrammetry.
ECS-1 has entered construction scheme review and tendering procedures, with launch and constellation deployment scheduled by the end of 2027. The parties also plan to develop SAR satellite ECS-2 to realise all-time and all-weather coordinated earth observation.
