JIANGXI COPPER(00358.HK): Chairman Zheng Gaoqing Resigns Upon Reaching Statutory Retirement Age
NewTimeSpace News: Jiangxi Copper Company Limited (00358.HK) announced that the Board of Directors received a written resignation notice from Executive Director Mr. Zheng Gaoqing on 7 July 2026. Having reached the statutory retirement age, Mr. Zheng tendered his resignation from the posts of Chairman, Executive Director, Chairman of the Nomination Committee and Chairman of the ESG Development Committee, and will cease to hold any position within the Company.

Upon reaching the statutory retirement age, Mr. Zheng Gaoqing has tendered his resignation as Chairman, Executive Director, Chairman of the Nomination Committee and Chairman of the Environment, Social and Governance Development Committee, effective on the date the resignation letter was delivered to the Board, and will vacate all offices in the Company. Mr. Zheng has confirmed there is no difference of opinion between himself and the Board of Directors.
During his tenure, Mr. Zheng steered the Company to focus on core businesses, pursued innovation-driven growth, coordinated domestic and overseas mineral resource deployment and deepened the copper industrial chain, making substantial contributions to the Company’s in-depth reform, efficiency improvement and high-quality development. The Company stated that this resignation will not disrupt daily operations. The number of directors on the Board remains above the statutory minimum, and the Board will complete the by-election of a new director as soon as practicable.
