CHINANEWTOWN(01278.HK): Fixed-Income Investment Portfolio Totals Approximately RMB3.053 Billion, Principal Recoveries Hit RMB1.1 Billion in Q2
NewTimeSpace News: China New Town Development Company Limited (01278.HK) issued a voluntary announcement dated 3 July 2026. As at 30 June 2026, after deducting impairment provisions for risky projects, the Group’s aggregate fixed-income project investment portfolio amounted to roughly RMB3.053 billion. Excluding risky projects, other projects generated contractual guaranteed pre-tax annual investment income of about RMB221 million, representing an average pre-tax annual investment yield of approximately 7.2%.
Compared with the position as at 31 March 2026, the Group made new investments in fixed-income projects in Wuxing (Huzhou) and Yandu (Yancheng) during the second quarter. Meanwhile, it divested four fixed-income projects including Wuxi High-tech Zone Industrial Park Project, Wuxi Xinwu District Canal Culture and Science Park Construction Project, Liyang Economic Development Zone Aerodynamics Research Institute Project and Phase I Yancheng Economic Development Zone Industrial Park Project. The aggregate recovered principal totalled RMB1.1 billion, with full principal and corresponding guaranteed investment income received.
