ORIENTAL E H(00018.HK): Annual Profit Expected to Plunge by Approximately 73%-75% to HK$13 Million - HK$14 Million

NewTimeSpace News: Oriental Enterprise Holdings Limited (00018.HK) released a profit warning on 11 June 2026, disclosing the performance outlook for the year ended 31 March 2026.

Based on the Board's initial review of the Group's unaudited consolidated management accounts, the consolidated profit attributable to owners of the Company for the reporting period is expected to be between approximately HK$13 million and HK$14 million, compared with HK$52.43 million for the year ended 31 March 2025, a year-on-year drop of around 73% to 75%.

The Board believes the profit decline is mainly due to the following factors: (i) reduced revenue from the Group's media and lending businesses caused by the challenging macroeconomic environment; (ii) a net fair value loss of approximately HK$9.37 million on the Group's investment properties at the end of the reporting period; and (iii) impairment provisions of around HK$3.52 million made for expected credit losses on loan receivables and interest, in light of settlement arrangements adopted amid falling collateral values of certain loans.
