NewTimeSpace News: On May 8, 2026, Keppel DC REIT announced that a fire occurred on the morning of May 7, 2026 (CET) in the technical room of its Almere Data Centre in the Netherlands. The technical room is separate from the data halls.
According to the announcement, the asset is master leased to a single tenant, and the REIT manager is in touch with the master tenant, who operates the data centre. The master tenant has informed that there were no injuries and the fire has been put out. The next steps include an assessment of the damage and the initiation of operational recovery efforts. The REIT manager expects that the above-mentioned incident will not have a material impact on the distribution per unit (DPU) for FY 2026.
