Leader Environmental Technologies Reaches Milestone in Sludge Treatment Validation, CTH System Achieves 80% Mass Reduction
NewTimeSpace News: April 13, 2026,The Board of Directors of Leader Environmental Technologies Limited announced that the Group has successfully completed a sludge treatment R&D project at a water reclamation plant in Singapore. The project was funded by the National Research Foundation of Singapore under the Living Lab (Water) scheme administered by PUB, Singapore's National Water Agency. Commencing on 1 May 2023 and concluding on 31 July 2025, it was a collaborative initiative between the Group and Nanyang Technological University.
According to the announcement, the project involved deploying and operating a demonstration system with a treatment capacity of approximately five tonnes per day to treat dewatered sludge containing about 80% moisture content. Results showed that the Group's Continuous Thermal Hydrolysis system achieved 80% sludge mass reduction with significant improvement in energy efficiency. Leader Environmental Technologies stated that the completion of the project represents an important milestone in the Group's ongoing efforts to develop and validate its used water sludge treatment technology.
