CITIC BANK(00998.HK): Proposes RMB2 Billion Capital Increase to Wholly-Owned Subsidiary CITIC Financial Leasing
NewTimeSpace News: CITIC BANK(00998.HK) disclosed in an announcement on February 4, 2026, the relevant matters regarding the capital increase to its wholly-owned subsidiary CITIC Financial Leasing. The purpose of this capital increase is to help the subsidiary enhance its competitiveness and support the group's strategic layout. The announcement shows that the 21st meeting of the 7th Board of Directors of China CITIC Bank has reviewed and approved the capital increase proposal, agreeing to inject RMB2 billion in cash into CITIC Financial Leasing with its own funds.
It is reported that CITIC Financial Leasing was established in March 2015 with a registered capital of RMB10 billion, mainly engaged in financial leasing services. After the completion of this capital increase, the registered capital of CITIC Financial Leasing will be increased to RMB12 billion, and CITIC BANK will still hold 100% of its equity.
