Dongfeng Group (00489.HK): 2025 Full-Year Sales Hit 1.896 Million Units, New Energy Segment Sole Bright Spot

Dongfeng Motor Group's 2025 full-year sales reached 1.896 million units, up 0.01% YoY, with new energy vehicle sales of 563,000 units (+42.6% YoY) emerging as the key growth driver. Voyah sales grew 87.4% and M-Hero jumped nearly five-fold, while the three major joint venture brands—Dongfeng Nissan, Dongfeng Honda, and DPCA—all posted declines. Heavy-duty truck segment performed strongly, rising 25.3% YoY to 181,000 units. The company cautioned that data remains unaudited and unconfirmed by auditors.

NewTimeSpace reports that Dongfeng Motor Group Company Limited (Stock Code: 489) issued a voluntary announcement on January 12, disclosing production and sales data for December and full-year 2025. The announcement shows the Company recorded cumulative vehicle sales of 1,896,185 units for January-December 2025, up approximately 0.01% year-on-year, essentially flat; new energy vehicle (NEV) sales reached 562,833 units, up approximately 42.62% YoY.

Parent company Dongfeng Motor Corporation's cumulative sales totaled 2,472,536 units, down 0.33% YoY. Subsidiary Dongfeng Automobile Co., Ltd. (A-share code 600006) sold 119,016 units.

By segment, passenger vehicle sales reached 1,523,783 units, down 1.32% YoY. Basic passenger cars (sedans) sold 725,089 units (-8.07% YoY); SUVs sold 693,828 units (+5.17% YoY); MPVs sold 104,866 units (+9.58% YoY). Commercial vehicle sales totaled 372,402 units, up 5.86% YoY, with heavy-duty trucks surging 25.33% to 181,492 units.

NEV transformation yielded notable results. New energy passenger vehicle sales hit 514,638 units (+44.09% YoY); new energy commercial vehicles reached 48,195 units (+28.63% YoY). Brand-wise, Voyah sold 150,169 units (+87.44% YoY); M-Hero sold 10,224 units (+386.63% YoY).

Joint ventures remained under pressure. Dongfeng Nissan (including Infiniti and Venucia) sold 600,006 units (-4.94% YoY); Dongfeng Honda sold 325,798 units (-23.92% YoY); Dongfeng Peugeot-Citroën Automobile (DPCA) sold 51,507 units (-24.61% YoY).

The Company stressed that the above production and sales figures are unaudited and unconfirmed by its auditor, and may be subject to adjustment.
