The CSOP Hang Seng HK-US TECH ETF (03442.HK) tracks the Hang Seng HK-US TECH Index (net total return version). The index reflects the performance of top technology companies listed in Hong Kong or the United States: its Hong Kong sleeve comprises Hang Seng TECH Index constituents eligible for Stock Connect, weighted by freefloat-adjusted market capitalisation, while its US sleeve consists of eight NASDAQ-listed companies—Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, Meta, Microsoft, Nvidia, SpaceX and Tesla—equally weighted; weight caps for the two markets are 60% and 40% respectively, with a minimum of 30 constituents.
Fangzheng Securities noted that, according to a SEMI report, global semiconductor equipment sales are expected to hit a record US$165.9 billion in 2026, up 23.2% year on year, and reach US$229.5 billion by 2028 for a fifth straight year of growth; the optimistic growth outlook mainly comes from the acceleration of AI infrastructure investment, and the increased investment in advanced logic, memory and backend technologies required by higher computing density, high-bandwidth memory and more complex device architectures.
