ChinaAMC HSTECH(03088.HK) up 2.31%, index to expand to 50 members

NewTimeSpace News:As of 09:55 HKT on October 9, 2026, the ChinaAMC Hang Seng Tech Index ETF (03088.HK) traded at HKD 5.310, up 2.31%, with a turnover of HKD 2.18 million and a turnover rate of 0.25%.

NewTimeSpace has learned that the ETF is managed by ChinaAMC (HK) Limited and tracks the Hang Seng Tech Index, compiled by Hang Seng Indexes Company, which covers technology-themed companies listed in Hong Kong. As of 09:55 HKT on October 9, it had assets of HKD 842 million, a unit NAV of HKD 5.196, a dividend yield of 0.38% and a board lot of 200 units.

Hang Seng Indexes Company's consultation conclusions on revising the index's compilation methodology will lift the number of constituents to 50 from 30, with 40 selected by market capitalisation and 10 by revenue growth over the past 12 months; the requirement that candidates fall under specified industries is scrapped, and technology sub-themes increase to 24 from 16.

CICC said in research that the revision is the most profound and systematic reform since the Hang Seng Tech Index was launched in 2020, with artificial intelligence upgraded to a standalone technology theme and the index moving beyond its past tilt toward internet platforms.
