NewTimeSpace has learned that the ETF is managed by BlackRock Asset Management North Asia Limited and tracks the MSCI AC Asia ex Japan Index, covering large- and mid-cap companies across Asia-Pacific markets excluding Japan, spanning mainland China, Hong Kong, China, China's Taiwan region, Korea, India and Southeast Asia. As of 11:18 HKT on September 24, the ETF had assets of HK$37.347 billion, a net asset value of HK$92.320 per unit and a dividend yield of 0.85%, with 100 units per board lot.
On the news front, according to data from the economic authorities of China's Taiwan region, export orders reached US$102.96 billion in August, up 71.4% year on year — the first time monthly orders topped US$100 billion and a record high — marking 19 consecutive months of growth, with electronics and information/communication products accounting for nearly 80% of orders. According to data published by S&P Global, India's September manufacturing PMI rose to a preliminary 55.7, while the services PMI rose to 55.8, with manufacturing in expansion for a 63rd straight month.
Goldman Sachs noted in a research report that second-quarter earnings of MSCI AC Asia ex Japan Index constituents grew 102% year on year, with 44% beating expectations and 27% missing, led by companies in Singapore, China's Taiwan region and Indonesia.
