NewTimeSpace has learned that the ETF is managed by BlackRock Asset Management North Asia Limited and tracks the S&P BSE SENSEX Index, covering large-cap Indian listed companies. As of 13:40 HKT on September 23, the ETF had assets of HK$4.556 billion, a net asset value of HK$34.624 per unit, a dividend yield of 1.12% and 200 units per board lot.
On the news front, according to Jinwu Caixun, the Reserve Bank of India's spot intervention and retreating oil prices have limited the rupee's downside, with the currency steady near 95.6 against the US dollar; foreign investors sold a net US$1.81 billion of Indian stocks in September, bringing year-to-date net selling to US$25.87 billion.
HSBC HOLDINGS strategists noted in a research report that domestic demand for Indian equities remains firm, with more than 80% of active global emerging market funds still underweight India; foreign investors have bought a net US$3.6 billion of Indian stocks since Indian equities started outperforming the broader emerging market in mid-June.
